I’ve shot a lot of cars and trucks over the years, but virtually all of my automotive photography takes place on pavement. When you’re photographing a multi-million dollar Ferrari or Jaguar, the owner typically doesn’t want to go off-roading in them and they would look terribly out of place if you did. So, when I got a call about photographing a custom Land Rover for Alloy + Grit Magazine, I jumped at the opportunity.
Although it wasn’t initially the plan, the editor of Alloy + Grit liked the photography so much that they made the truck the cover and they recently called on me to shoot another truck for the upcoming issue.
